New Mindjet MindManager Pro 6

Helps Business Users Create Visual “Blueprints for Action” - Increased integration with Microsoft Office brings information to life for greater team collaboration
Mindjet Corporation, the leading provider of software for visualizing and managing information, today announced availability of Mindjet® MindManager® Pro 6, the newest version of its flagship application for business professionals and teams. Available September 20, 2005, MindManager Pro 6 is a tool for graphically representing the core communications of business: from capturing meeting notes to creating sales campaigns and drafting business plans in an “at-a-glance” view. Now with enhanced integration with Microsoft® Office, each resulting Mindjet MindManager Pro 6 “map” can contain additional information via hyperlinks to documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Maps can also be connected to corporate applications and databases, and to Web services.

“Our Strategy Team has used MindManager Pro 6 beta to brainstorm, develop decision trees and organize projects,” said Samuel Johnson, senior manager for strategy and development at Ryder System, Inc, the Fortune 500 provider of leading-edge transportation, logistics and supply chain management solutions worldwide. “We are looking forward to upgrading to the final Pro 6 and experimenting with new features like Excel integration and improved export to PowerPoint. We continue to find MindManager to be a very flexible way to capture changes on the fly. It's intuitive to use, easy to operate and helps us capture the thinking of our team.”

Mindjet technology delivers what no other technology can: A flexible, creative way for users to capture, organize, and share information. Mindjet MindManager Pro 6 captures the information in an intuitive interface integrated with XML, HTML and the Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Word, PowerPoint®, Outlook and Project-and now Excel® and Visio®. MindManager provides busy professionals with a single easy-to-use interface from which they can quickly access key information, without having to navigate to numerous, often difficult-to-master applications.

Mindjet MindManager Pro 6 enables individuals and teams to flexibly capture ideas and information to build clearly structured, easy-to-understand representations of projects, plans, systems or strategies. Its fluid, drag-and-drop interface helps users quickly organize and reorganize information to discover new avenues of thought and new solutions-and then put those solutions immediately into action.

“Based on experiences of more than 600,000 business users ranging from CEOs to sales managers-even federal hurricane disaster recovery teams-we have focused the latest evolution of MindManager to empower more dynamic team interaction,” said Robert Gordon, CEO of Mindjet Corporation. “We're helping our users apply the illustrative, intuitive methods of collaborating and planning via flipchart or whiteboard, and then add to it the actionable power of linked supporting materials.”

Mindjet Founders Win Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2004 Award
In ten years, MindManager creator went from death's door to winner of Best Information Technology

In 1994, Mindjet founder Mike Jetter checked into a cancer hospital for what he feared would be his last battle to survive leukemia. Looking for something to both occupy his mind during his treatment and to serve as a parting gift to the world, Jetter decided to use his skills as a software developer and create a new kind of graphic interface. Ten year later Jetter, his wife and chief operating officer Bettina, and their partner Michael Louis have now been named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® award winners in the Information Technology category. The award was presented by global professional services firm Ernst & Young last Friday night in Frankfurt, Germany.

"This honor from Ernst & Young is a very much appreciated affirmation of the work my wife Bettina, our partner Michael Louis and I have done to make Mindjet a successful company," says chief technology officer Jetter. "When I entered the hospital ten years ago to battle my third relapse of leukemia, I never thought MindManager would find such a receptive audience. I really started out with just one user—my wife. Mindjet now has half a million customers around the world who use our information visualization software to improve their productivity and creativity. I believed ten years ago that computer users needed a more intuitive, visual interface. Our success—and now this award—proves that this is true."

Mindjet was founded in Germany in 1994 following Jetter's successful treatment for chronic myeloid leukemia. Mindjet now has operations throughout the world and enjoys double-digit annual growth due to the popularity of its flagship product, MindManager X5 Pro. This visual tool for planning, collaboration and business process management enhances the productivity of business teams and individuals by providing them with an intuitive visual interface for the rapid capture, organizing, and sharing of information, ideas and data.

An independent judging panel selected the Mindjet founders on the basis of the company's innovative product line, employee development and current and potential corporate performance. The founders will now compete for Ernst & Young's World Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

About the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards
The Entrepreneur Of The Year® (EOY) awards program was created in the United States in a single Midwestern city by Ernst & Young in 1986 to honor entrepreneurs whose ingenuity and perseverance have created and sustained successful, growing business ventures.  Today, EOY has been expanded to more than 150 cities in over 35 countries with awards presented to over 900 of the world's most successful and innovative entrepreneurs.
